Cotto was making huge demands to Martinez who was the Champion, I can only imagine what type of crap he tried to pull with Canelo.

Like I said Cotto is not in the strong position he was just a few months ago, he had the Mayweather option back then and could use it for leverage. Now he can't even find a network to televise his next fight without signing to fight Canelo first. He's in a tough spot where he's going to have to be reasonable instead of being his usual diva self.

you guys are naive lol, you guys do realize cotto had no real intentions to fight canelo and only reason dialog is back open because HBO WILL NOT AIR A COTTO FIGHT UNLESS HE SIGNS TO FIGHT CANELO, that is the only reason cotto is open for this fight now. Cotto can not go to showtime ROCNATION will not be aired on showtime because showtime and al haymon are in bed together and ROCNATION and AL HAYMON do not place nice. Cotto only option is HBO unless he wants to go to univision or something.

WTF Floyd/Pac rematch and Kovalev/Stevenson will ALL be PPV and ALL be around the same mothafreaking time.

Kovalev-Stevenson will not be until late summer, early fall. Each of them has another fight to take care of before the unification fight.

He got dropped by Ishida. And? I'm not claiming Kirkland as great but he's a better fighter than Heiland by far. I would prefer Canelo and Cotto be fighting but oh well. Two divas and their teams complicate things.

You know Cotto is something special when their hate for Cotto is more important, than their support for Canelo. I guess they know they can't post about how Canelo won a round against Floyd, so the are reduced to bashing Cotto. I really hope Canelo beats somebody other than shot Mosley soon. Not sure if a win over The Chin Kirkland will cut it but... Damn it, give them SOMETHING soon!

Most people don't really hate Cotto. They just don't like stans putting him on a pedestal and greatly exaggerating his accomplishment. Specially when the stans are too blind and defend Cotto's bullshit.

So what if Canelo lost more rounds than Cotto vs Floyd. Both mofos still LOST. Canelo won more rounds vs Trout but you don't see me making a deal out of it. Plus Cotto's style is much better against Mayweather's than Canelo's.

Coming out last and announce first? Martinez got the champion treatment, try again. It's also funny to read that Cotto has no leverage because all he did was sign with RocNation, who is Canelo going to fight? He already said he isn't moving up to 160 so that rules out GGG. Cotto said GGG is an option, so once again what is Canelo going to do?

First fight I saw was maybe 92-93, didn't start following boxing religiously until 96. Easy to figure out my age by my screen name.

Cotto has a history grievances with trainers and promoters, it's not just one fighter calling him a diva that makes him hard to deal with.

Doesn't change the fact that Martinez called him a diva, and the perception of most boxing fans have him pegged a diva.

I hope they get the fight made, Cotto doesn't have very many options right now so I think they will work it out.
