Freddie's playing the role of trainer and trash talker. He deserves an increase in pay.

Floyd ran scared for 6 years and there is countless hours of video on YouTube of mayweather himself coming up with a slew of excuses as to why he refused to fight pacquiao. Even about a week before the algieri fight mayweather was giving excuses and threatened to fire his own father for even mentioning he should fight pacquiao. Remember? He said he'd rather fight two bums because its about smarter not harder. Then the foot locker commercial came out and Manny called him out right after the algiero fight, #fightpacquiao was trending on twitter, Floyd had nowhere to.run at that point but he damn sure tried to run. He was trying to make fights with both cotto and Anthony mundine until he finally succumbed and was duck shamed into fighting pacquiao.
Manny said he wouldfight for free too....so who gives two ****s what he said.

it's not fair to have an American ref
it's not fair to have American judges
MGM is Floyd's home so he has unfair homefield advantage
          NSAC is in Floyd's pocket
          USADA is in Floyd's pocket

Arum was not involved - do you remember at the top of the year when Arum said Manny signed the Ghost contract that didn't exist???? What about when Arum said he needed time to build his 100,000 seat stadium for a fight of this magnitude! They put a gag order on his old a$$ - he never wanted the fight, this is why he got Manny beat twice - on points in the robbery to Bradley and the KO loss to Marquez (who in their freakin mind will let their cash cow fight a fighter that goes life and death 4x's ?????) wake up! Tod Dubeof negotiated on Manny and Top Ranks behalf! Not sure if you remember the video of Mayweather and his body guards walking with Todd Debeof in the lobby of one of the Casino's - Wake up and stop being so biased...

I think Floyd had to take the fight out of fear, not embarrassment - but not fear in the conventional sense. I honestly don't think Floyd cares, at all, about what people would say if he retired (no, for real this time) without fighting Manny.

I think he absolutely cares about how much money he can make.

Stay with me, here. Boxing, with the rise of the UFC and the lasting popularity of other mainstream sports (not to mention increased access to traditionally 'foreign' sports) has become a fanbase of purists. That is, people who legitimately care about boxing for more than just what's on at Buffalo Wild Wings on the night you get away from the wife. That said, Floyd stood to stop making as much money as he has been if he kept fighting Not-Manny.

Boxing purists have been talking for years about this fight while Floyd has been making more and more money. I think, now, this is the place and time where Floyd (and Manny) can absolutely crush the bank and the PPV numbers with their fight. Neither Floyd NOR Manny has/had any chance of doing the payday they are about to get with each other because no one cares enough anymore. Floyd's good. He wins (a lot, rumor has it). Manny is good - he also wins a lot. But no one is going to pay for something with three, six, nine months of hype when the only thing that gets talked about is six-years-in-the-making.

The reason Floyd took it out of 'fear' is because he cares about money waaaay more than Manny does.
