Comments Thread For: Robert Helenius Demolishes Andras Csomor in One

Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia - Heavyweight Robert Helenius (20-0, 12 KOs), 31-years-old, finally made his long awaited return to the ring with a first round demolition of Andras Csomor (11-5-1, 9 KOs) with a 62 second knockout. It was Helenius' first fight since March of 2013, when he won a hard-fought decision over Michael Sprott. Since that period of time, Helenius has been trying to overcome various injuries and he's also making attempts to break his promotional contact with Sauerland Event.

The near 6'6 fighter is looking to revamp his goal of securing a world title shot. The legal dispute with Sauerland is still outstanding. Contractually, Helenius is still a Sauerland fighter.

Csomor is a bum, but after two years that was to be expected. Helenius weighed in career lightest and it seems to be a good move: it´s been years since Robert looked that light on his feet and his left hand was working well. Good to see him out of Ulli´s "Injured? We´ll over train you anyway!" training methods. One more cab driver and then a live opponent. Briggs could give him some much needed rounds with that thick skull of his

Edit: RH weight pretty much the same as always, but he still looked more mobile to me!

Nothing much to take from the comeback, he should have had a better opponent. Helenius is in shape though, but he is rusty and slow after the layoff.

The more he stays busy now, the better. Hopefully he can resolve the Sauerland situation and get his career back on track. Good luck to him!

The guy Helenius fought, Andras Csomor, was the only one they could find in a short notice. Three opponents quit before him with all kinda reasons and "injuries". It is going to be hard for Helenius to find opponents also in the future. He is simply too dangerous (for ones health), too heavy handed.
