Yes, he is very smart but his diminished abilities will cause him a lot of problem against Pacquiao. He is very smart and still almost got beaten in the first Maidana fight. Now for the first time he will be punched in the face with punches he didnt see.

Not sure if you have any experience with these things..... but I can tell you, that it is not very wise to answer that question, because you are pretty much fakked either way.
Fighters/Trainers fall into the same category regarding the May/Pac fight.
e.g.
The style/hype of Golovkin should fit the Pacquiao fanbase, there should be some natural follow-on there..... but pacfans will not support Golovkin if either him or Sanchez support Mayweather.
