Prime Roy is unbeatable, unless he gets DQ'd. Thats it, really

You're nuts bro, prime Roy didn't have the stones to fight Nigel Benn or Darius Michaelwhateverthe****, never mind try to spark them. Kovalev's chin is way sturdier than Roy's sandcastle jaw. I think Kovalev would expose that glass.

Prime Roy is in & out without a scratch, poss with a KO win.

No way in hell would Roy try to KO a killer like KOv, he's winning on the scorecards or else not at all.

Kovalev is a monster but he would struggle to win a round against a prime Roy. He could even get stopped.

I think I remember this. Kovalev is a cool dude who knows a bit about boxing from what I can tell.

Nobody was jumping to fight roy back then.....Chris Eubank even said fighting him would be like suicide...He knew he'd have to war just to have a chance to win...Roy wasn't going to England or Germany to get screwed like he did in the Olympics...Roy was the A side and the draw

Up until he was 35 Jones was only dropped once and 49-1 across 4 weight classes.....people wanna make jokes now because he is a middle aged

In his prime Hall of Famers like Hill, Toney, Hopkins and McCallum could barely win rounds and the other world champions he fought either got embarrassed or knocked out most times....up until he fought Tarver the second time he already had defeated

Kovalev either gets UD by a wide Margin or stopped late fighting Jones from 96-99

Imagine Kov vs Roy jones even just before the first Tarver fight at age 30-33....Still a wide UD....Roy stopped going for the kill when he got older

Roy Jones by decision, a stoppage isn't out of the question either.

People always mention Roy's chin in this matchup but what about Kovalev? you could argue his chin is suspect too.

Prime Roy was dropped once and he pretty much won every other second of that fight. I think the speed difference would be apparent from round 1 and Kovalev would have a hard time setting himself to land the shot that knocks him down and out.

                      kovalev split decision.

roy gonna get dropped several times play keep away the rest of the fight. look like poor man's hopkins thousands of years later.
