Say what you want about Arum but it was Cotto and his manager who for 6 months now have been bold face lying to the fans. Go back and read the comments out his camp since last Dec when the Canelo deal was announced by Golden Boy and Top Rank to be done. A lot of shady stuff and lies out the Cotto camp and now we know why he had no intentions of fighting Canelo and was working on the Roc deal without telling Top Rank or Golden Boy.

For once,im with you dirk. Arum rebuilt cottos career,after he was coming off a two loss streak against floyd and trout. He got him freddie roach,and basically set him up to get the middleweight belt,and yet cotto is acting as if arum has done nothing for him. All im seeing on this thread is alot of cotto fan,and bob arum haters,applauding a boxers buisness decisions,more than his actions inside the ring. Who cares that hes getting paid 50 million? What i want to know is who is he going to fight,that makes him worth that much. If hes truly the third biggest draw in boxing,he should do something of that caliber. Either fight GGG,or drop the belt and fight a live body at 154 like erislandy lara.

I dunno. Arum is a shady dude for sure but he seems to treat Bradley alright money-wise. Now that draw against Chaves was some bogus stuff but the paydays keep coming and Bradley is the kind of guy who would blow the whistle if he didn't get what his contract said he was going to get paid.

Without TR, Cotto would be fighting on Showbox against up and comers right now. I believe there is likely more to the story.......more like "it's always greener on the other side"

So..... Cotto, May and Oscar all left saying the same thing about money not being right. Pac really needs to see the trend here and I hope he does.

I believed Pac knows that too. And that what makes him different. Pac's embracement to bible & christianity is so tight. If someone did worng on him 10x he'l forgive 11x. And besides, he has tons of money that even his great grand childrens will be financially secured. He's going to fight Canelo he just wants to maximize his earnings and that was not going to happen with TR involved, that's why Oscar has started to talk about the fight again.

As a fan all i care about is who he is going to fight. He refused to fight Canelo or GGG. Hasn't defended his belt in a year and now probably fighting a bum in June. And Top Rank saved his career after he got his butt whooped by Trout. It was Arums connections and match making that got him that belt In the first place. His career was in the dumpster before he crawled back to Arum.
