Comments Thread For: Roach: Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is More Exciting Now

The biggest fight in the entire sport is less than two months away. However, both Floyd Mayweather, 37, and Manny Pacquiao, 36, are in the twilight of their respective careers and most pundits say they have lost some of their skills in the ring.

Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach believes the fight will still live up to the hype. Promoters have tried to make the match for the last six years. It is now finalized for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

How ironic if Roach is right about this; that back when Floyd Sr. feared for Floyd fighting Manny - believing that Manny was not clean - that Floyd actually had his best chance to beat Manny, and now, years later with the fight having been made, that Floyd has lost enough so Manny can actually beat him.

Shut up. This just shows that Roach, Pacquiao and their team actually did not want the fight back in 2009. It shows that they are huge fat liars, and that Mayweather has been telling many truths all along. Pacquiao is such a *******. Easy Work!

Roach exposed that Pacquiao was on Roids, and now he exposed how he knew Mayweather was better than Pacquiao all along.

was it you who said in another thread about hating on some racial background?

        aren't you doing it now?

it's over now it was already established who don't want the fight and has to be forced to sign the dotted line. that's a knock down Floyd fans could never get up.

Pacquiao's own trainer thinks Mayweather would win when they were in their prime.

              Haha! It's no secret.

Roach still thinks Floyd's legs are gone? If he's banking on that, they're in trouble.

lol I think Roach is playing mind games at this point. I'll not be taking anything he says from now to the fight seriously, look out for that early knockout prediction.

But Floyd used the random testing as a road block doe! Listen, Roach is the biggest handicap and advantage seeking Trainer ever. This is how he evaulated Marquez for the 3rd fight. He actually thought Marquez was ineffective because of the fight with Mayweather. Not to mention put in a 10Mil weight penalty because he thought Mayweather had trouble making weight. This guy is supposed to be a top notch trainer but he mostly banks on fighters having flaws more so than actually preparing for the best. Roach is overrated and should be bettung on horses.

I don't know who will win this fight, but if Floyd loses, it will be quite ironic just as was the "The Fight of the Century" which happened 44 years and one day ago. The fight which Ali was suppose to win but instead lost to Joe Frazier. Remember? Ali, the self proclaimed "greatest" who was beaten for the first time as a professional. I guarantee that if Floyd loses to Manny, the public will be less surprised at that than they were with Ali's loss in '71. Or perhaps you remember Tyson vs. Douglas of 25 years ago. A fight which defied odds. The unexpected happens, and only the insecure would be upset at the mention of his favorite possibly losing.
