Molina was in the 2014 FOTY. He knows how to put on a show.

Everytime he tried to get inside, Broner would put him in a headlock and lean on him and Robert Bird would break them up and blame Molina.

If Bird is gonna allow illegal tactics from one fighter and penalize another fighter for nothing than the fight was fixed and theres nothing Molina can do.
^^this. both fckng fights until you hear Guerrero's corner begging Bayless "let him work on the inside! !"

I guess there's no infighting allowed on PBC cards?

I don't know who people thought John Molina Jr. was. John John Molina maybe. He's known for come-from-behind K.O. wins over Lundy and Bey in fights where he was getting shut out (and the Lundy win was years ago).

As far as entertainment value, he's massively overrated. He has underwhelmed before and more than once. Watch his fight against Klimov on FNF. What about his last fight against Soto? I thought he looked bad, if not awful, on both occasions.

Molina was given a lot of credit for getting beaten up by Matthysse, but he has never been a decent fighter and has rarely looked good. On top of being as crude as they come and utterly hittable, he claims to be a brawler but he doesn't throw enough punches nor does he put pressure on his opponents. I could name at least 20 fighters from 135-140 who would beat him easily.

As long as he's not any big platform again, I'm cool. He almost ruined this show because AB came to fight and did his best.
Yep. And he STILL put Matthysse on his ass.

I was expecting more from Molina and actually believed he could win.

Lucas got in the phonebooth with Molina. Broner didn't. Molina didn't have to get into position to throw against Matthysse because Matthysse gave him the fight he needed to look good. Again, Broner didn't.

Molina probably did leave a lot of himself in the ring against Matthysse, the Soto fight showed that. But the different approaches he was facing against Broner and Lucas had a lot to do with the drastic difference in his performances.

So after watching this fight my question is this..

Does Molina suck or was this an off-night?
It was a cherry pic opponent he lost 4 of his last 6 saying that Broner should have KO'D him in less than 6 rounds so Broner is the loser here

He was paid to make Broner look like SRL part II.

I was wondering why the hell Guerrero didn't approach this fight like his past few, ie., fighting on the inside? Once he started getting on the inside, it was a different fight.

Molina was a zombie last night.

I can't believe that was the same guy that had Matthysse falling all over the place.

Matthysse got right in his wheel house and traded with him. Two very different fights.
