boxing ****** last year and he was a major reason why. I don't think any one knew that he would be saving all the good matchups for when he was making them alone. Boxing will have a great year because of haymon

Be interesting to see how it looks over TV and the culture and feel of the place as far as classic and contemporary arena's.

Schaefer leaving Golden Boy was the major factor. As bad as 2014 was 2013 was great.

He's investing in the product, with a clear eye towards the future.

If this pays off and the viewers are realized ($20m for the 20 dates on NBC/NBCSN, and whatever else he's paid for the other dates), Haymon is looking at a massive content deal come 2017 ($100m per year, for 12 primetime TV dates and 40 other TV dates, would seem like a decent place to start).

With one of the main broadcasters (CBS/Showtime/CBSSN, NBC/NBCSN, or ABC/ESPN) picking up the primary deal, Haymon can then shop around for networks, still interested in boxing, to carry the secondary deals.

Looking forward to the fights for sure but I still think this dude has some shady stuff going on and is spending a lot of money that likely belongs to investors. Hope he can generate enough revenue to produce an ROI or these deals are gonna fall through in a bad way.

paying off sparring partners is only the tip of the iceberg. hes bought Floyds whole career. Made millions over millions on him. Its time to cash Floyd out now. Maybe even grab Manny when Floyd retires.
