I still don't understand why Golovkin should be getting any kind of pass with his run. Boxing is about making something happen and even Murray that is bare minimum kind of stuff same with Gaele. Those aren't bad fighters and of the guys he was choosing from those were on the top but really when you give any person a list of a few names none of which are all that good and the most acceptable one gets picked it makes it seem greater than it really is.

That can be called a lot of names that people use here to describe top end boxers, so please tell me why Golovkin should be different?

Because he is awesome is not enough, that dog has never hunted here.

He gets a pass for now because he's been attempting to fight the best possible fighters and because fans/experts recognize that Bernard Hopkins went through a similar situation.

There's a misconception out there that Golovkin is passing up tough challenges. But realistically who has he passed on? Ward was never really available and financially unrealistic.

Golovkin signed to fight #2 MW in Pirog and SMW Chavez. He made offers prior to Rosado to fight Edwin Rodriguez & Oosthuzien at 166lbs. He made inquiries to fight Froch, Kessler, & Quillin. He offered to goto Argentina and fight Martinez instead of Murray. Before he started his US run he attempted to make fights with Sturm, N'Dam, and Zbik. They pulled strings having Perez fake injury prior to fighting Jennings, so they could cancel Macklin/Geale in order to get Geale.

A fight with Tureano Johnson would be completely noncompetitive, but it's not meaningless - it has marketing value. It keeps Golovkin on tv in front of millions of people and continues his monster persona so that when he does get a meaningful opponent the foundation is there to generate some buzz.

No one gave B-Hop a pass he wasn't **** for a long time. If Golovkin can hang on for 5 more years we can start with the B-Hop talk.

Like I said boxing is about making something happen, he is clearly staying in his comfort zone and not willing to strike out. I haven't seen that his team is willing to do anything like what it takes to attract names and now that they have had all this handed to them they aren't going to change.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he never existed~

NSB wasn't around when Hopkins was going through similar struggles and if it was he would have been slammed for it.

Lol @ tossing out the Usual Suspects quote. There is no one for Golovkin to strike out for in May, his options are limited unfortunately. So he'll fight some top 15 guy and look for bigger things after. Nothing he can do until then since everyone worth anything has upcoming fights.

This is crap. This has got to stop. We already know how this will end.... Golovkin's going to look destructive and get a brutal stoppage and we're all going to get on NSB and twitter and say he's a beast who no one wants to fight..

Come on.... Enough with this stay-busy fights. Make something happen.

I know for sure B-Hop wasn't getting a ton of love in his middleweight struggle, until 2001.

I watched it the other day, and it kind of fit the point I was making~

In May you are correct it is just I see this same pattern again and again with him. If I didn't think highly of him I wouldn't even care the bit I do about it because it is his career to make good on. In boxing a guy can make a whole lot happen if they want it to. I have no real issue with Golovkin staying on the grind until he gets the spot he wants but until he actually finds that spot things will continue to get worse for him.

You're not saying anything constructive. Offering to fight Froch at 168 in the UK is going out of his comfort zone, right?

Constructive? Is it my job to make a plan for Golovkin now?

Talk is very cheap, I know I have said this very line to you.

Its not, but why make post after post with nothing to say then? For example, not addressing Froch in the post you responded to. How about some more movie quotes?

If you don't get what I am saying you shouldn't respond at all. I don't need to talk about that because it is nothing really, just words. Which is what I always feel when a guy is being marketed as Golovkin is.

I ain't from Missouri but it is time for Golovkin to "Show me" what he really wants with his career.
