I see what Marquez is saying. He's simply saying it's better to take things into your own hands if you get tbe chance.
No doubt the Castillo/Mayweather fight was close (watched it dozens of times). But the fact is in boxing, you have to win more rounds to win a fight, not always land more punches (which you could do in 5 rounds and still lose the other 7). As for the performance, well Algeri won his title in a "performance like his" and it didn't matter to some when he became worthy Pacquiao opponent. Ray Leonard won against Hagler etc. (As IronDan pointed out). You may not like it, but that's the nature of the sport we love. You win more rounds, you win a fight and the scoring subjective within set criteria (bias lends fans a hand too). Fights that are razor close are only a robbery to the guy who loses.

Just can't see Manny knocking out Floyd, I could see Manny hurting Floyd and putting him in almost complete defensive mode and if Floyd were to get the win then roll on the September rematch.Judges see what they see.Once your'e on the amateur boxing circuit in the uk and witness some dire decisions there it does make life a little easier to move on.I do think this fight will be full of drama and be close enough to warrant a rematch. Manny off to a flyer but running in to big counters down the stretch !

Marquez saw his countryman, Jose Luis Castillo, as the rightful winner over Mayweather in 2002 when they fought at the MGM Grand. The judges saw it otherwise, and scored the bout unanimously for Mayweather.
