The WBO have made ex-champion Robert Stieglitz the mandatory challenger for super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham, thus setting up a fourth fight between these two. Abraham leads 2-1 in the trilogy.
SES and Sauerland have now entered a period of negotiations. If no deal is reached there will be a purse bid ordered, and after that there´s 90 days to stage the fight.
SES won the purse bids for Stieglitz vs Abraham III (when Stieglitz was champion) with an offer 3,135,000 USD. And following that, Abraham won a close, split decision after 12 heated rounds of boxing in March of 2014.
