Comments Thread For: Mayweather Sr: Pacquiao Will Get Punished Real Bad!

Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer for WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., expects his on to punish WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Last month, Mayweather Sr. criticized Pacquiao's recent performances. He said the Filipino star has been unable to get a knockout win since 2009, because he believes Pacquiao was using performance enhancing drugs when he ran right through opponents for several years. Both fighters have agreed to a strict random drug testing protocol for the May fight. Pacquiao says he asked for fine of $5 million dollars if either of them fails to a test, which in turn would cancel the fight.

floyd was too big, manny was past his prime, floyd was working with ariza,...floyd took to long to announce the fight, pacquiao fights better when larry merchant is there...blah blah blah...leave the excuse in your throat

floyd has stopped every southpaw he faced except judah right..and we know wat judah did to survive..o yea the ghost survived..but lost every round..also the last 2 smaller fighters he face touch the canvas...the last pure boxer that manny faced (AND I AINT TALKIN BOUT NO ***IN ALGIERI) went 24 rounds on bad legs staying up right giving him a hell of a fight the 2nd time..

u can talk about floydchino1..but make sure u mention that floyd didnt listen to his trainers for whatever reason..make sure mention the size that manny does not have to be chino..make sure u mention the low blows and head butts that manny is not willing to go for...if all manny has is speed then how can i not think the cat quick floyd cannot match that?

How about you stop complaining first? How about you say to both sides to not make any excuses whoever wins the fight instead of coming off like a drama queen?

Because that is a simpleton way of thinking. Timing and volume can beat speed and on a given night one mans game can be on and the other mans game be off. There are two to three scenarios that could play out and favor one guy over the other. You do realize there is a reason why fights are made is because otherwise all we would have to do is put down everything on paper and pick a winner based on that? Every fight has a different set of dynamics, unexpected outcomes, shocking endings, one fighter being better than the other on that night. Boxing is a place where anything can and does happen. If anyone is shocked if May stops Pac early or Pac wins a decision or the reverse, they have not been a boxing spectator long. Anything can happen. Nothing would shock me except if one guy wins and I wake up the next day with my face grazy-glued to the carpet. That would shock me.
