Why does Ward-stans want GGG to move up?

Now Ward's career is a real mess -- The Ring stripped him and downgraded him from the P4P top 10, due to his partial retirement. Ward said he's coming back, but we don't know when and who his opponent would be...

Now, as against GGG, Ward isn't "the A side" anymore -- he has to fight someone big next... If Ward takes a "Sartison tune up", he still needs to fight a SM belt holder this year, in order to call Golovkin early in 2016.
On the other hand: Golovkin has to take at least one fight at 168, let's say with Chavez Jr... But it has to be at 168 (with a rehydration clause of 10-12lb at most)...
... Golovkin is a "big shot" now -- he no longer has to comply with the statement which reads "I'll fight anyone from 154 to 168"... He earned his position to state that "I'll fight anyone from 154 to 168 under my own conditions"...

Later edit: Golovkin may even call Ward at the catch weight of 165, for instance...

Miguel Cotto is the lineal champion there for crying out loud.

Andy Lee has a belt, a brain damaged Jermain Taylor had a belt until he was stripped for being brain damaged.

      Speaks for itself.

The big fights and better fights are at 168.
I know you want both to move up. I'm actually opposite. I want both to stay a while. Particularly GGG who needs to beat Cotto thereby restoring the divisions credibility in history.

Cotto has a lot of courage but I doubt he ever fights GGG.......

Cotto should simply vacate that belt. He can't be part of "restoring the division credibility" because he isn't like Duran (who, for instance, finally fought at the light heavyweight...)

Cotto's not going to fight him.

What's the point in staying there? So he can feast on guys who aren't his level?

He stays there, beats Andy Lee, beats who else? N'Dam or whoever has the other belt. I don't even know who it is.

What's the point in doing that? Does nothing for his legacy.

The money and legacy is at 168. He isn't exactly young.

I just like the Hagler way and I don't think he has the size to be really effective at 168. Hell I even think he could make 154 if he really wanted to.

And at 168 who's there anyway? A Ward fight is probably more than a year from happening. Froch is just about retired as I see it. JCC might be worthwhile as a moneygrabber only.

I want to see Cotto saying that he doesn't want GGG before believing it. We know he has major balls.

Golovkin can stay at 160 for now and clear the rest of the division. Ward still has fights at 168 Dirrell brothers, degale, groves. Then when ward beats good boy he can move up to 175 and take on the krusher and superman

Hagler had no real 168 to go to.

He's going more the Hopkins route. Overstaying his welcome in a poor division fighting mostly mediocre competiton when he should have gone to 168. To me that's pointless.

168 he has better competion and bigger money.

Even guys like Dirrell, Degale, Groves, Abraham are better than the people he's fighting.
