Proof that Floyd Mayweather copied the 'pull counter' from Muhammad Ali

As stated, the famous move Floyd Mayweather is known for aka 'the pull counter', where he feints in order for his opponent to make a mistake then comes back with a counter straight right hand lead.

A lot of fighters who have fought Floyd Mayweather seem to fall for it continuously but to name one who came close with success was Maidana, in the second fight, near end of Round 3. Robert Garcia definitely did study on how to counter it.

Maidana wasn't intentionally trying to counter it though (IMO). He simply threw a jab, immediately followed up by a straight right. Against Floyd, that should be done often. But most of the times, it's not. Not even Maidana did it all the time. If Maidana truly knew how to counter it, he would've been catching Floyd all night long. He got hit with dozens of pull counters in both fights.

The pull counter is a basic move. Its boxing 101. Floyd does it so well because of his reactions, timing and great handspeed.

The pull counter has existed since the dawn of time

What's next? A video showing that Wlad "copied" the jab from Holmes?

Anything at all to discredit a fighter. My god.

Floyd did not invent the pull counter, no. We already knew that.

And Ali copied it from someone else, what exactly is your point? Every fighter learns from someone.

No there are pioneers in the sport, otherwise boxing would never progress and move forwards.

Ali copied the pull counter from Gene Tunney. Why do white fighters don't get credit anymore? SMH
