You forget several things. Maidana didn't have Robert Garcia training him or Alex Ariza handling his conditioning before he fought Alexander. Chino was in much better shape when he fought Floyd. Also Alexander was 25 (in his prime) while Floyd was 37 (several years passed prime).
What's odd about Pacquiao fans is that you say Floyd struggled with a guy Alexander beat easily, without mentioning the different circumstances. But you guys hate when Floyd fans bring up Manny getting put to sleep by a guy Floyd easily handled three years earlier
Oh you mean Marquez who moved up 2 weight classes was cheated on the scales and was drinking piss and throwing rocks off mountains?
This is only partially true. I always thought Maidana would be a tougher fight than Canelo because of his awkward, rugged, and dirty style. However, I could tell something was off about Floyd before he even threw a punch. Maybe the guy had *** the night before the fight or something because something clearly wasn't the same.
No idea what happened to Floyd after the Canelo fight, must've taken the wrong PED's because he looked like **** in both Maidana fights.
Ginger being drained didn't help either.
Let's be realistic here, Canelo was made to order for Floyd. He's flat-footed and telegraphs punches from a mile away, Austin Trout would have beaten him if it weren't for the knockdown and Erislandy Lara practically gave away the fight when he decided to stop throwing punches.
Floyd said it himself on all access "We put him on our undercards, build him up to be something that he's not, and then we beat him".
