    "The big boys don't lose"

That's the dumbest damn thing I've ever heard. Like they can magically get even action.

I mean, far be it from me to start bringing facts into the conversation, but there's a TON of articles all over the internet where the Vegas sportsbook managers are talking about how Vegas lost money on this past Super Bowl. And you don't get any more "big boy" sportsbook than Vegas.

They literally lose money on bets every single day. But the amount that they win, far outweighs it.

Holy hell. Can you imagine what Vegas would look like if the sportsbook literally never lost? There wouldn't be any need for slot machines.

    You are so naive.

People can click whatever they want on an anonymous forum but when REAL MONEY is at stake 3-1 are favoring Floyd
3-1 favoring mayweather involving real money, obviously it is a gambler's odd. but if you consider including those fans/analysts who don't prefer to gamble. the odds is pretty even.

If bookies lose money in the states over this fight, then they are as amateur as you are.
Yeah, those guys that build billion dollar casinos out in Vegas, they're some serious amateurs.

You've still yet to say anything to suggest that you know anything at all about betting, the market, finding value, etc.

        You don't know shit.

Bookies do love a mug, and they must love you.

Warren Buffet has some serious money as well, doesn't mean more people bet with him William Hill.

So tell me what result in the Mayweather vs Pacquiao bout will lose the bookies money

The money has been split evenly on both fighters

Small bookies might lose some money through ******ity but the big boys don't lose.

And they won't be losing anything on this fight, no matter what the result.

                  Just like I said.
Haha you're a moron ... that's the problem we are having here. What happens with regular bookies is the same that happens with "the big boys" just on a much much bigger scale ... Over time the book will win but on individual games they lose all the time! I'm done dude if you don't agree with that we can't even begin to start talking about ********.

Yea ... Problem is those odds don't matter. Some of the best people at predicting the outcome of sporting events set the odds for this fight and they have Mayweather a 3-1 favorite (taking your word) ... If you could find a sportsbook giving even money on Mayweather the bigger gamblers would be dropping millions because those odds are not in line with what the more well established sports books are saying ..

Bottom line Mayweather is the favorite for a reason and it's not because they just like him more.

I'll say this very slowly for you.

It does not matter the result for the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight the bookie will still make more money than they have to pay out.

Maybe bookies are ****** in America, but over here they will slash the odds or won't even take a bet if they are making a loss on it.

Plus you have to realise there are multiple markets. round betting, method of victory and such.

Say if loads of money was getting pump on to Mayweather. the odds would tumble to 1/10 and the would make Pacquiao 8/1. making more money go onto Pacquiao.

But even some of those Pacquiao bets might be split between a KO victory or a decision, then you have what type of decision or what round, same for Mayweather.

It will not matter what the result is the bookies will win. And if you are bookie and you don't win, you got to be a f**king idiot.
