I watched the fight yesterday again and Floyd definitely won round 6, but round 10 was very close. Really only 1 round that Manny won clearly and that was round 4. Maybe 2-3 others that were even close and Mayweather clearly won 8 rounds, there is no argument he won rounds 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 11, and 12. He won rounds 6 and 9 too, but they were closer rounds. Mayweather probably eked out round 10 as he landed the harder shots, but that was a very close round.

11-1 is a very reasonable score. 9-3 is really pushing it. 8-4 is not a good score IMO and one of the judges who scored it 8-4 agrees with me and has said that two of those rounds he gave to Manny probably should have gone to Floyd.

Now here's the reason why people will reject 11-1, it was not a beat down. Mayweather clearly won a lot of rounds, but he wasn't blowing Manny out in any of the rounds save for maybe 1 and 11, he was just very very aware of how to win rounds. Mayweather would win the 1st 2 minutes of a round and know he won the first two minutes and he would just take his foot off the pedal the last 30-60 seconds. But, 11-1 or 10-2 is really the only score that is realistic nonetheless. Like many Mayweather fights, in the 2nd half his opponents get the benefit of the doubt on some rounds because although they probably lost the rounds if scored in a vacuum, they lost them less than they lost most of the earlier rounds so judges give them rounds kind of out of pity.

And round 1 was a dominant round by Mayweather that decided the whole fight IMO. Mayweather landed several hard shots right on the button and let Manny know there would be a price to pay for each mistake. And this was not a boring fight until the last couple rounds when Manny had basically given up.

Yeah, I rewatched the fight too. With some Mozart in the background. Glass of red wine. Feet up. Nicely tucked in. Lady playing with the hair. Wind caressing the face. Sun warming the cheeks. Pure artistry that was. 12-0. With bonus points! People just don't appreciate the sublime, the smoothness, the effortlessness, the total grace of weaving, crouching, cowering and darting across the ring like a new born fawn in total fear.
