Yes-- Half the reason why TB is in blue and white is because of Canadian snowbirds who are keen on the Leafs-- I'm from the North and my SO is from Montreal, but we both live in Toronto. We cheer for the Habs, and call Leafs fans the 'battered wives of hockey'. She's almost got me into fights... LOL. The NHL is still 40% Canadian though, and a lot of those guys come from small towns and cities, so there's always somebody to cheer for. It could be worse, my dad cheers for Chicago because he was 1 of 14 kids and their dad made them each pick different teams, and they were out of Canadian ones. Though Chicago has done well in recent years.

Canada slows down for any world championship game, and stops for the Olympic gold metal game.

Anyway, back to boxing-- I live within a stone's throw of two bars airing the fight. I'm tempted to open the window to hear the cheering one way or another. The number of casuals interested in this is huge.

I'm kinda surprised people are so convinced of a Floyd win. He is coming into this fight off two poor performances. Maidana rematch was particularly bad, I just rewatched it last night, and from round 4 onwards, I have never seen him look so uncoordinated and missing so much (yes, Chino was making him miss). Maybe that punch at the end of 3 round 3 had a bigger impact that we thought. And maybe Chino was just an uncomfortable style for Floyd. But I am convinced Pac is a very real dog in this fight.

I go back and forth with the Maidana fights. At times I think Floyd got old fast but other times I feel styles make fights and Chino is a decent fighter.

Anytime Mayweather doesn't look invincible people make a bigger deal about it than it actually is.

I'm confident that Mayweather will win by decision. The first few rounds will determine how wide it is. I can't wait to watch, as I really expect both guys to look better than they have in a long time.

Same thing with Klitschko. Jennings won 3-4 rounds? Klitschko is completely shot!

You never know the reason either. Age, bad night, difficult style match-up, their opponent is decent and not a bum like people label anyone not in the top 3 P4P

Watched the 1st fight last night again. Mayweather looked a lot better than what I remember watching it live. I think it was just an initial shock that someone was landing power punches against him and actually trying to bully him around. I give a lot of credit to Maidana, he cut of the ring well and was throwing punches from every angle.

I agree. Rewatched those fights over the last few days and Floyd did not look good at all. Manny actually looked the better of the two in 2014.

But stylistically the argument for Floyd makes a bit more sense. I'm not confident about any particular result, but I think Floyd's job on the night is somewhat more doable than Manny's.

Floyd essentially has to maintain distance against a smaller guy who doesn't cut the ring off well, and pot-shot him enough to take the round. Manny has to cut that distance without having a great jab, and without getting caught too much on the way in, and then he has to score against the best defensive fighter in the sport.

I think it's a close call, like 55-45 Floyd, but a Floyd win is just a little easier to see.

Who knows though. Anything could happen.
