LOL at Mayweather saying Manny was forced to fight him because Floyd wanted it.

Uh, cuz he wasn't fighting Pacquiao in previous fights. I thought that's pretty well understood.

I don't think he was comparing him to Margarito. Just using him as an example of why you shouldn't walk down Manny. And Margarito is a big ****kin dude that got eye socket broke. So ummm, yeah I would give Floyd major props if he walks down Manny.

Whoever performs better on the night wins

They both will bring out their A game from the off

I feel each round will be a new fight. Both men can adjust and change their style. Both have ways to attack on the front foot and the back. Both are known for being able to change angles to find new spots to attack.

While Floyd can counter off of his ability to roll and catch shots, Manny will look to use pivoting footwork hopefully coupled with head movement to find odd angles to punch with a lot of help coming from the southpaw stance.

Only a few people seem to realise how boring this fight is going to be. You'll get the odd round of excitement but that's it. I hope the undercard's solid.

I came back to this forum in the wake of this announcement and as many have said, they are excited for the fight but it is all happening a bit too late. I would agree with them but the buzz surrounding this one is almost as electric as Leonard/Hearns or Hagler/Leonard or Tyson/Holyfield. On a personal level, I don't believe a fight has been built over a period of time like this has since the days of Ali/Frazier.

I still remember being in my 20s, reporting on fights for the first time when ALi was banned and Frazier took over the mantel as the best heavyweight on the planet. From that moment, the build up and intensity was like nothing I have witnessed. It became a global obsession, much like Pacquiao/Mayweather today, with the added bonus of social media.
