Comments Thread For: Thurman: Mayweather Running Out of Options, Needs Pac

WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith Thurman views Manny Pacquiao, the WBO's champion at 147-pounds, as the only real profitable option for WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

There are ongoing discussions to make Mayweather vs. Pacquiao for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Thurman, who has an important fight coming up on March 7th with former champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero, says nobody else at welterweight - including Amir Khan- will bring Mayweather the type of money that a Pacquiao fight can bring.

Awesome that Thurman would admit that even he isn't a big enough draw for Mayweather.

Also I like that he didn't concede Pac and May as the best but the most entertaining welterweights in the world.

Thurman's old bumazz aint no damn boogy man lol Yall talk about this dude like he is lightning fast, with Lucas Mathysee power. This dude is slow as hell, with decent skills, and knocking out bums but not even obliterating him. I wanna see if he can beat Ghost, a man that Floyd dominated, because I dont know yet.

Once they asked Floyd about Thurman, he laughed and said he needs allot of growing to do. He has ZERO respect for this guy.

It appears, Thurman is not as dumb as I thought he was.

He ran from Pac for almost 7-years now...it's just time he handles business. Win lose or draw. Fight NEEDS to happen regardless of what a Mayweather and his mindless minions say...
