Its plausible but I wouldnt believe it coming from Arum's mouth. He's already been caught in multiple lies during these latest negotiations.

On Friday he said everything was fine and dandy and should be done by Sunday, now he's saying there's still some issues.

Why don't you understand what bob arum was saying in that article. He keeps signing off on the offer sheets and he sends them back and then the laywers on mayweathers side draft new offer sheets detailing even more stipulations. All Bob Arum is saying is that if they just focused on making it happen it could be done quicker and they can focus on promoting the biggest fight in history on May 2nd. He didn't lie about agreeing to their terms as we can see in this article. Even Floyd and his side haven't disputed that arum and pacquiao keep agreeing to every term. But every Time Arum agrees he makes statements saying he thinks the fight should get done. And then Floyds side sends him an offer sheet with even more stipulations, of course he would get discouraged and say the fight needs some more work. Bottom line is its because Mayweather is stalling. Bob Arum is obviously frustrated with Floyds BS. I personally think Floyd is just going to keep sending back offer sheets with more stipulations until eventually arum and pacquiao are forced to find an opponent because Floyd doesn't even want the damn fight. Maybe you should read the Dan Rafael interview with Arum again, it's clear as day why it seemed to you duckweather fans that Bob Arum made conflicting statements. Like I said, that all makes sense and its more than plausible that Mayweather is doing what you said.

I just dont believe Arum though after he's been caught lying and Koncz himself has point blank admitting to lying and now is keeping his mouth shut, which is what is wise for everyone. Enough talking to the public/media, no one buys your BS, just get the fight done. No matter what you say or do, everyone in one way or another if this fight doesn't get made is going to look bad.

He probably said that after the major points were hashed out. Negotiations were progressing rapidly when he made that statement and now has reached a stall as Floyd's camp wants to change the contract and take their sweet time in getting back to Arum. Can't blame it all on Bob and believe that the other side which has not said a damn thing of what's the hold up other than it's not close to being done.

totally agree seems like floyd is looking for more roadblocks to stall the fight more and more to the point where pacs side will get fraustrated and will be forced to pull out of the fight, this seems to be floyds tactics! trust me if floyd really wanted this fight it would had gotten done way sooner! the networks would of worked everything out there after!

I agree. He's the A side acting like the B side. Pac has agreed to all of his demands (entrance order, fight name, gloves, drug testing, purse, venue, etc). HBO has claimed that they are not the problem. And Floyd/Showtime can only reply that there is no contract and nothing to close to one.

Like I said completely plausible and not blaming Arum for this hold up. Mayweather is a little diva, he took forever to announce the Maidana and Guerrero fights. Richard Schaeffer scolded him about not signing the Mosley contract for a few days.

Hopefully it is another case like that and Mayweather changing the terms.

I still dont understand HBO's position- They say they're ready to go and waiting on the principals but they have been negotiating with Showtime for weeks now and they still havent made an agreement.
