Comments Thread For: Pacquiao's Adviser: We're Building Trust With Mayweather

EIGHT-DIVISION world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao loves the sport of basketball and is coach of the KIA team in the Philippine Basketball Association, which is the longest-running pro league next to the NBA, while undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., is also an basketball fan.

The two met at the American Airlines Arena in Miami and sat right across each other, with Mayweather walking across the court at halftime of the Miami Heat-Milwaukee Bucks game to talk briefly with Pacquiao and exchange phone numbers.

This is good and bad at the same time. It's good that they are communicating, but it's bad that they can't really share any specifics and details. So we as fans are back to being out of the loop again.

You would have thought these kind of things would have been settled a long time ago.

The Super Bowl is in 4 days.

        People are expecting an announcment.

We were never in the loop to begin with.

Hopefully they weren't being literal about making the fight just between themselves because that wont work especially after Mayweather just said Pacquiao has no say.

This is great news! And if anyone really complains about this... please dont call yourself a fan of boxing.

It kinda depends on what they are discussing. If its only about the "lies" Pacquiao's camp has been saying then its not too troubling but if there are open issues about making the fight itself then there is a 0% chance of the fight happening in May.
