Because he was fighting an unkown guy. And what does it have to do with Asia? The fight was in the morning in Asia and was free. I was in China that day and they showed the Shimming fight and the Pacquiao fight for free. Same in the Philippines, they show the fight for free. Pac is the second biggest name in boxing so whats ur point?

Actually HBO president hershmam said here on boxing scene mannys last fight did about the same as the Rios fight which was 475k ppv buys which is pretty good considering Manny was the only one with a big fan base in either fights in china. His fight with Bradley in June sold 850k which was the same or more as mayweather maidana 2. Manny is an international icon, the whole country of the phillipines watches him fight and there is 0 crime on fight days in the phillipines because literally everyone watches the fight. Obviously Manny is as big a draw as mayweather when you consider that. That is np excuse not to fight Manny. Hes the second biggest draw in boxing and fights in the same weight class and the whole world has been waiting for that fight. Manny said himself hes doing it for the fans because he feels like his legacy is fine without mayweather. Fighter of the decade and 3x fighter of the year. Pacquiao is 8 division world champ compared to mayweathers 4. Pacquiao was 3x fighter if year mayweather was 2x pacquiao was fighter if the decade mayweather wasn't. Manny hasn't taken any time off in 10 years besides after his Ko loss to Marquez. Pacquiao was robbed vs. Bradley and revenged the loss. Marquez is ducking him and claiming injury fir a fifth fight. Nobody has a better record against the level of opponents pacquaio has faces his last 20 some odd fights. He has one legit knockout loss in 20 fights and most of the rest he completely dominated and alot were elites he knocked out.
