Comments Thread For: Kell Brook vs. Jo Jo Dan Looms For March 28th Bill

Sources with knowledge of the details have advised krikya360.com that a deal is practically locked up for Kell Brook (33-0, 22KOs) to make a mandatory defense of his IBF welterweight title against Jo Jo Dan (34-2, 18KOs) on March 28th at the Motorpoint Arena in the champion's backyard of Sheffield.

Brook's opponent is going to be announced at a press conference on Thursday. Dan won not one but two eliminators against rising Canadian contender Kevin Bizier. Brook captured the title last August with a twelve round decision win over Shawn Porter.

Decent tune up fight in the circumstances but would have been satisfied with someone who's more game.

A very respectable first defense opponent.

Let's see how Khan's name is used to build this up.

Dan is slippery and for a first defense I'd say it is a very good opponent. Better than Josesito Lopez, which I thought was going to be the choice.

From what I've seen of Dan, he has absolutely no chance against Brook.

But granted how Khan had him stabbed in Spain, he's not a bad choice.

Legitimate opponent. Much better than the no-name that Thurman faced.
Brook should walk away with his title, but who knows.. Go Dan!

Jo Jo Dan us Al Haymon.

We may see Anthony Dirrell vs. James DeGale
                    Rances Berthelemy vs. Ricky Burns

                    All Haymon vs. Matchroom.
