Comments Thread For: Wilder Won't Require Surgery, Hand Should Heal By March

According to the Tuscaloosa News, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) will not require any surgery for the right hand injury that he suffered during his twelve round unanimous decision win over Bermane Stiverne to capture the title on Saturday night from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Wilder saw a surgeon on Tuesday, and the boxer expects to be 100% by March. He will rest and then have a follow-up exam in late February. If all goes well, he should be ready to train hard by early March.

Warren said he would pay off Hammer, if Wilder wants to fight Fury.

      Make it happen.

They fight in Feb don't they? That's enough time in between

            No xray

As previously predicted no xray showing fracture it's just to justify no ko instead of celebrating tremendous improvement in all areas under breland. Today it's more important to pad ko record than being able to actually know how to fight.

It was a much better fight but the situation reminded me of Haye's phantom broken hand in an attempt to explain away that all time stink fest with Valuev.
