"I don’t want to sit here and point my finger at Pacquiao and say, ‘It’s him’. It’s not Pacquiao, it’s his promoter [Bob Arum]. A lot of the time when Pacquiao says ‘I agreed’, you don’t have nothing to do with this. On a chess board you’re a pawn.”
Of course not all will agree you show me any poll where 100% agree on anything. If you put up a poll on what people remember first about those fighters Tyson biting Holyfields ear etc would get the most votes.
There's always one moment in any famous persons life that stands out and is most well known and Pacquiao getting KTFO is his.
You said THE FIRST THING PEOPLE WILL THINK OF in 20 years from now - and now you are skating! Pac will be MOST known for a number of things such as how many titles he won, who he fought, getting knocked cold by JMM, being a fighter and a politician, whether he fought Floyd or not and if he won or lost and how, how he retired, on his terms or father time, many, many things but you made an ignorant generalized statement by saying THE FIRST THING people will think of is the JMM fight which is RIDICULOUS! It will be one of the many and not everyone is FIRST going to think of that fight. Quit while you are behind. I wont hold it against you. Enough.
Damn that ego is bigger than ******** China. The other dude is the 2nd PPV attraction. So what if he only gets less than a million PPV buys? It's not like he's not gonna attract over a million PPV buyers once he sign the contract. He's still second best PPV attraction. He have a boss that is true but he know damn well Manny can't just leave Arum in the corner, who's gonna represent him? Koncz? Al Haymon is doing everything for him as far as his fights are concern. He ain't no business savvy, it's Al who put him where he is and the fans gave him his fortune. Enough already, if he really want to fight and get paid $120 mil in one night, fight the SOB and shut every body the hell up. He said easy fight right? Just ******** do it already, unless that's his another way of saying "hell no, I ain't fighting him, too risky for my undefeated recor".
If he eventually fights he can always claim that he was just creating controversy to "promote" the fight although it certainly feels like the opposite and is starting to make fans sick and tired of the process.
But when you have "fans" defending what he says here, makes one think the fight is not going to happen. You even have TMT above defending the Cotto fight.
Again, hard to believe those who are ok with him not fighting Pacquiao are his fans instead of his employees.
Floyd better fight or there is no question that he is just afraid of the little Filipino.
