Imo 60-40 split to Pacquiao is a very generous offer from Floyd.
Pac should get a flat fee with a PPV percentage for every PPV over 800k.
If it is a percentage it should be 75-25 or 70-30 Based on past purse amounts or PPV.

It was a popular win and nothing more than that. For example, Gatti was a popular win for Floyd that doesn't make it a good win or anything to cheer about. That beating is what is supposed to happen when a ATG faces a club fighter. If Floyd is ATG he should beat a hype-job JMW who only fought 1 JMW in his entire career and he should win in 12-0 fashion.

Unfortunately for Manny he has no signature win. Most of the good fighters he beat, Barrera, Morales, Cotto have already been beaten before he fought them.
It is not like he was breaking new ground or exposing undefeated champions.
Not saying that's a bad thing because it's not, those are great wins but they carry no "significance".
It gets worse for him at WW where his most notable fights with the exception of Cotto are re-treads of Floyds.
Look at how big a deal Mayweather vs Hatton was. It brought out scores of British fans and celebrities and the pageantry was huge. It was two undefeated champs at the top of their game going at it.
When he fought Manny there was none of that outside of people wanting to see what he had left.
The same with Oscar. When Floyd fought him it was massive because it was a literal passing of the guard. Floyd fought him for his belt and the ppv king title. The fight had major significance and the ppv results reflect that. There were so many storylines to that fight it was impossible not to be interested.
When Manny fought Oscar, it was nothing more than a good fight. That's it, a name win nothing more. It didn't come close to what Floyd did because there was no significance.
The Mosley fight was no different. People wanted to see them fight for years. Floyd had attempted to at lower weights but it just didn't come to be. So when it did finally it was a big deal. No such storyline existed for Manny, and his fight with Shane was seen by both media and fans as completely unnecessary. There was quite the backlash for it.
Thats not to say he has not had any historically significant moment in his career. His legacy fights with JMM are what he will be remembered by. This much is obvious. This is his own narrative that he built and it is something that Floyd nor any other boxer can be attached to. Unfortunately for him the high point of this came when JMM knocked him out. And that is what people will remember. They will remember that for three fights the two were as even as you could possibly get with Manny edging him out and three close fights until.......you know the rest.
