Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-1-1, 32 KOs) is delighted to finally have a return date. Earlier today, krikya360.com broke the news the Chavez was returning to action on April 18th against Polish light heavyweight Andrzej Fonfara (26-3, 15 knockouts).
Chavez had hoped to face Carl Froch for the IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight titles on March 28th, but Froch withdrew from those discussions on Monday morning with an elbow injury.
There is still a legal battle brewing between Chavez and Top Rank, who believe the boxer still owes them one fight.
