Comments Thread For: Jennings Not Ruling Out Facing Stiverne-Wilder Winner

A few weeks ago a fight between WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and undefeated challenger Bryant Jennings was nearly sealed to take place April 25th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fight would be televised by HBO.

That was before Jennings' promoter Gary Shaw merged his company with upstart boxing promoter Roc Nation Sports and now it is uncertain if the fight will come to fruition.

He won't get the Wilder fight and Stiverne knocks Jennings out for less money.

No way he should jump Povetkin in the WBC rankings either.

He isn't jumping no one.he fought an eliminator and won !

The victor of tomorrow evening is mandated to face Jennings,it's an order.the only way that fight doesn't happen is if Jennings faces the champ or the champ unifies next.

What he is ruling out however is getting his face caved in By Wlad...

If Wlad is low balling him I don't blame him.Jennings has a mandatory shot at the title and I expect he expects to earn around $1m.

I like jennings, he has fought much better oppenents then wilder and stiverne.
but this is some chicken **** talk from jennings.
he has the chance to win 3 of the major titles and beat THE hw champion of the world in his own home country on HBO.. doesn't get much better then that, seems like he is just happy to stall it so he can get his name more in the media..
            Disappointing

Things changed when shaw merged with roc nation. The mandatory title fight could bring jennings more money if it goes to a purse bid. Roc nation will pay handsomely. He sill get a million for the WBC fight & if he wins sets up a massive payday with wlad. Hes in a great position. Either fight he walks out with a million but if he loses to wlad first he loses his mandatory shot & has guys like povetkin & fury to beat if he wants another shot. Taking the WBC mandatory first makes more sense in the long run...

So Vitali doesn't fight a mandatory for 2 years while Stiverne is forced to fight his mandatory in his first defence and his second defence. All the while, the WBC have Povetkin ranked above Jennings on their site

You're right though, Perez-Jennings was a WBC eliminator. It would be interesting to see if Wilder wins whether Haymon would allow that fight to take place on HBO.

Well WBC has to do 2 straight mandos.... only person who can stop that is Wlad

It's WBC rules,I was merely pointing out what you seemed to be overlooking,it's been widely acknowledged and reported on the site,I was pretty sure you were aware.ive seen you posting on the subject before.

Yeh it'll be interesting with Al and Roc,Roc win a purse and Al makes Deontay relinquish ! I see what sitting well hahahaha.anyway Stiverne wins so in my eyes that's irrelevant,or we have this conversation tomorrow at this time I suppose !

I want a unification, although I acknowledge we're getting more competitive fights outside of the champ facing challengers, which in farness aren't all tbat competitive and haven't been for a long while.

Wilder,Stiverne,Jennings,Fury and Povetkin are all top match ups between themselves with a belt on the line I suppose they become a more realistic chance of happening.
