Very few believed either of those two opponents had a chance against Pac, or wanted to buy into such PPV's, even after Pac's devastating KO loss to JMM.

Besides, IIRC, those fights were held during US prime time anyways - at least the Algieri one. That means that, technically, whoever would have wanted to buy such a PPV in the US, bought it anyways.

Corollary: Pac's ability to earn from PPV buys has gone down in recent times much more so than May's.

A agree with you there ^^. He got knock out by Memo Marquez after all. And as Pac fan, I won't deny that

But to say fighting in US won't increase the number of PPV buys, you are wrong there. The money spent in advertising that would focus on US instead of China affect the PPV buys too.

The reason why Arum moves there was because of huge difference of tax in US and China. Arum knew he could make more money in China than US. The PPV buys in US was only an additional revenue for him.

    My Question to You
What do you think will happen to Floyd PPV numbers if he fights outside of US?
Why Floyd rarely fights a non-latino fighter?
Why Floyd wants cinco de mayo badly?
How will unknown undercards affects Floyd PPV numbers?

You're probably right that had the ad's for such PPV been heavier in the US, the PPV sales would have been higher. But, honestly, not by much, partly for the reasons I gave earlier. Besides, the little/limited gain in PPV numbers would not have made up for the heavier US taxes TR and Pac would have had to pay, like you've also stated. So TR was forced to stage some of Pac's fights in China (those that would likely not do well on PPV, I hasten to add.)

Sorry, I'm not competent to delve into the whole CdM/Latino fighter/Floyd controversy. It easily degenerates into a nationalistic thing. Besides, I do not have concrete evidence/statistics to back up the views I may hold.

Regarding undercards, the conventional wisdom is that, the less attractive the main event is perceived to be from a typical boxing fan's perspective, the more juicy the undercards would need to be. Even then, I don't expect it to always be a 1-to-1 relationship.

Floyd is silent as a church mouse and Cotto's manager is stating that Haymon has been reaching out to him for a possible rematch. Meanwhile Pac and Arum have stated that they have agreed to all of Floyd's terms and conditions.

Yeah Floyd is really interested in facing off with Pacquiao.....

These dummies talking about how silent Floyd is. SMH. As much as y'all follow him, y'all should know that dude isn't talking about fights when they are being worked on. Like he NEVER speaks on ongoing stuff. Soon as stuff is finished then he talks again. But, carry on.

Dude's a groupie that doesn't keep up with facts. He's easily swayed by ANYTHING Bob Arum and Manny state in the media. Easily. Which is laughable.

And they cant unless Floyd is willing to forfeit some of his guarantee.

No way does Floyd/Cotto do enough buys for Showtime to make a profit.

The point of my post is, why is Haymon reaching out to Cotto's manager for a rematch if they're trying to secure a fight with pacquiao?

You're one to talk about "groupie" LOL. You'd let Floyd proudly give you a dirty sanchez!

There are three facts in his world.

                    1.) Floyd coward.
                    2.) Floyd scared.
3.) Anything that doesn't say Floyd scared or Floyd coward is a lie.

50 Cent just said he doubts the fight happens also. Specifically, he doubts Floyd will take the fight in favor of easier options. Now I don't want to believe it either and mostly I don't, but there's a possibility here and that until it actually happens...
