Pacquiao did 400k PPV buys for the Rios fight, 700k PPV buys for the Bradley fight, and another 400k PPV buys for the Algieri fight in the last two years.

Mayweather did +900k PPV buys for Guerrero, 2.2m PPV buys for the Canelo fight, +900k PPV buys for the first Maidana fight, and +900k for the second Maidana fight in the last two years. Figure in the gates and you're looking at an additional $55m in revenue.

Since the Marquez faceplant, Pacquiao's star status has utterly collapsed; time that folks finally acknowledged that.
Is your a sshole ok? That's alot of information. get it?

Stop it. Guerrero vs floyd did 813 k or around there too lazy to look up exact number. It didn't get pass 900 k the first maidana fight was also rumored to do under 900k and showtime never released the numbers. Yes mayweather sold more but quit trying to inflate the numbers

Hell Naw.... Maybe 1million. Maybe. Bradley just isn't a very polarizing character.

The only numbers he is inflating are the numbers for the Rios and Algieri fight. Neither of those fights sold 400,000 PPVs. How do I know this? Because Arum said they did and anytime Arum opens his mouth, he is lying.

The bottom line is the BIGGEST fight out there for Floyd is Pac and no one else. Just like the BIGGEST fight out there for Pac is Floyd. In essence, both guys depend on the other man's "starpower" to make a difference in the overall boxing landscape.

Neither guy is out there destroying the box office by themselves these days because of the economy, crazy high PPV prices, poor industry advertising/exposure, and the fact that the fans want them to fight each other instead of different opposition.

Yeah let just forget rios and Algieri fight happened in China.

How will this combined factors affect Floyd PPV numbers? (No Fighting in Cinco de Mayo, Fighting in China instead of vegas, Fighting non-latino fighters, Undercards with unknown fighters, and Fighting Unknown Fighters).

If Pac-Rios OR Pac-Alg could have made more money overall in the US, Arum would have staged them in the US, "trust me." So, nope, Pac vs those two could have done worse in the US, actually. Very few believed either of those two opponents had a chance against Pac, or wanted to buy into such PPV's, even after Pac's devastating KO loss to JMM.

Besides, IIRC, those fights were held during US prime time anyways - at least the Algieri one. That means that, technically, whoever would have wanted to buy such a PPV in the US, bought it anyways.

Corollary: Pac's ability to earn from PPV buys has gone down in recent times much more so than May's.
