Comments Thread For: SHO Exec: Mayweather-Pacquiao Deal Has a Ways To Go

Floyd Mayweather wants a fight with Manny Pacquiao more than ever, said Showtime Sports VP Stephen Espinoza. The fight is being targeted for a date of May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"Personally I've been involved in these negotiations continuously since the very first in 2009," Espinoza said. "I can say I'm not sure there's a point where I personally observed him wanting it more than over the last few months."

The ones that talk trash and negotiate through the media are the ones that have been trying to railroad this fight the entire time, Bob Arum and Top Rank. The less you hear about this fight in the news, the more likely that we'll see these two get it on in the ring. I'm not getting my hopes up.
