Comments Thread For: Purses: Wilder Gets $1 Million, Stiverne $910,000

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - The purses for Saturday's Showtime televised tripleheader have been revealed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne will receive $910,000, and mandatory challenger Deontay Wilder will get a higher purse figure at $1 million.

WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz is getting a bigger than expected purse of $750,000 for his fight with huge underdog Erik Ruiz, who is only getting $50,000.

So it was delayed like 6 months for the champion to get paid less

50k is a lot of bread for a taxi driver~ he can probably take the week off.

Wow the champ gets paid less. Well, he shouldve made the fight earlier instead of being a don king pawn and waiting almost a year to defend that said title

That Santa Cruz purse is ridiculous. However, that is one of the benefits of being an Al Haymon fighter.

Not hating but its crazy LSC getting paid like that to fight a nobody again. No wonder he named his baby Al.

Lol. Showtime spending nearly 10% of their annual budget on their first two fights, that combined might last less than 6 rounds.
