Just about no matter who this guys fights he will do enough to make it close. You probably won't beat this guy convincingly. Hes Molina esque.

Its like no matter who he fights he does enough to make a case but probably not enough too win and I think many are going a bit overboard with the robbery calls.
    They was close, close fights.
I had him beating Danny Garcia but I won't **** on anyone who seen it the other way. His recent fight could of gone either way too.

      Exactly.

      I had Danny edging him.

Thought he beat Benavidez but that was razor close aswell.

Neither were robberies. He was on the wrong end d a close decision both times.

      FOTY? Please.

7-5 type fights with a lot of swing rounds, two in reality against opposition that is largely unproven.

I just don't see why he should of won for 2 rather unimpressive fights both against fighters 95% of hardcore fans probably never even seen fight. They was close fights. I didn't see these 9-3 type wins.

He deserves credit for IMO edging Danny Garcia but even if he got it is that really enough for FOTY?

Plenty beat 1 top opponent and 2-3 fillers nd did it far more impressively and more convincingly
You have to win 9-3 to get a decision now? I had it 8-4, thus like the vast majority I had Herrera clearly winning.

On the "beat 1 top opponent" part, really who had a better win? I can see Pacquiao since the US boxing media boosted Bradley to P4P #3 but Garcia was the man in the division, in his prime coming off his biggest win.

Herrera wouldn't have been a lock, but he would definitely have been a strong contender.

So Herrera must know how Ken Norton felt in his two losses against Ali.

Both the garcia and benevidez fights were close fights that Herrera deserved to win. But i wont disagree with 115-113 type scorecards the other way. The problem was there was atleast one judge that was clearly paid off in both fights. Theres no ****ing way benevidez or garcia won 117-111, thats just straight bull**** and exposes the corruption.

Far too much sentimentalism about Herrera right now. I'm sure I remember a lot of whining about Herrera getting the decision against Provodnikov.

                    Vast majorty?

Loads of press row had it 7-5.

That's on top of the 20% who didn't have Herrera winning.

The most common score on boxingscene was 8-4. on top of only 11% having it for Garcia in the larger poll of 455. With those type of margins, it absolutely is a robbery. You can have your own educated opinion on the scoring, which is perfectly fine, but you can't as an individual decide if a fight was a robbery or not. I think it's up to the collective opinion to decide what fight is deemed as a robbery in the history books. Even if only 40% thought the winner actually won, I could almost live with that not being called a robbery. But 10%? Fuck no. That's a robbery not matter what you personally think.
