Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Trainer Confident All at 154/160 Get KO'd

Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO/WBC interim-middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (31-0, 28KOs), is still very confident that nobody in the junior middleweight or middleweight ranks is capable of going the full twelve round distance with his boxer. Golovkin has stopped his last eighteen opponents - including usually durable boxers like Daniel Geale, Marco Antonio Rubio, Curtis Stevens and Gabe Rosado.

    Wrong

Clottey goes the distance with anybody, and just might kick Golovs arse

He probably stops Cotto, Quillin, Taylor, Soliman, and Lee. He possibly stops Murray, Sturm, and N'Dam.

I think he'd stop Canelo too. Would be interesting to see him in with Lara and Trout.

        Overlooked

Lemieux has a shot but strategically not mentioned.

You mean nobody at 160 or at 154 moving up to 160. They keep saying he can go to 154 but I have yet to see it

the talent at those weight classes arent very good. ggg has real power but i think a counter puncher with decent pop could def go 12, possibly lara i think canelo has enough pop to keep ggg off him. at 168 i think he possibly loses to a few guys

As far as power goes, I think Stevens hits harder than Canelo and we all saw what happened there.

Chepo will throw in the towel if Canelo fights GGG.

stephens MIGHT hit harder then nelo but nelo boxes circles around stephens not even close. nelo has been tested hurt and showed heart to come back. i have never seen ggg in trouble. nelo has fought way better comp also
