IMHO, in terms of boxing qualifications, I would agree that Cotto is the A-side.

But in terms of drawing power, I find Canelo is the A-side, Mexicans are stronger PPV buyers than Puerto Ricans ...

Cotto has to back down a little, I think.

Cotto: "I'll go [in whatever direction] is the most beneficial to myself, so now I am just waiting. I just want the best for my career. I did not put any conditions on Canelo, I'm just asking for what is right for me, based on so I've [achieved and earned] all these years. They have the ball in their court, so they know what to do with it."

"I did not put any conditions on Canelo, I'm just asking for what is right for me"...

Translation: They have to give me $15 million in order to fight Canelo...

You are dumb if you think Cotto would make a lot less than he made fighting Mayweather 2 years ago, sometime I don't think some of you guys have a brain when you type this sort of shhhh. Cotto would make more money fighting Mayweather or Pac than he would make fighting Canelo or GGG and that is a fact.

The market and numbers would dictate everything. At the moment I think Cotto has everything on his side. I don't think he has to back down a little bit neither.

I do agree that based on whether or not Cotto gets the deal he wants against Canelo then he may stand to make more rather than fighting Mayweather again.
That's exactly what I was thinking, why would he agree to make less? Some posters do not think when they type, their hatred for Mayweather blinds them significantly.

It would take some all-time memorable egotistic bull**** for Cotto/Alvarez to not happen now. One side would have to really **** up.

Contrary to what some people think, Cotto also has an ego too. And putting this fight together is not going to be easy if Canelo think he has to get his way.
