The higher the sway the more likely the judge is to be swayed by the home crowd or promoter. Basically pick a high sway if you think you need a robbery to win.

Sorry this is an old question but I hardly come on the scene and thought this thread died long ago.

There's a show coming up on 8/7/15 in el paso Texas it has national coverage and will have a Texas heavyweight title eliminator. My cousin is looking for one popular fighter (preferably from Texas or usa) that wants to be on the card and get nations exposure. If so look up his card in July in el paso his promoter name is tito Trinidad Promotions

I didn't realise I matched one of my better prospects with an opponent who had better class. My guy battered his opponent, dropped him in 3 rounds and was far ahead on the scorecards... when, in the final minutes of the fight, he gets knocked down and counted out.

My guy has nearly 900 power and nearly 950 finishing but in 4 fights has failed to stop an opponent, although he's dropped 'em all!

Is there any way to have your guys progress his skills, or specific skills? I try and pick a trainer with good levels in everything and still some guys regress.

Are they fighting regularly and do they get on with their trainer?

EDIT: You can get trainers that specialise in an area but you can't specify training. But it is possible to get a trainer who specialises in jab and pair him with a fighter who has everything but a jab.

As your fighter's class (or possibly popularity) improves, better trainers with more specializations become available.

Before scheduling a fight or seeing any training improvements, a trainer needs to be assigned.

This is done via the Attributes & Training screen accessible from the Boxer Detail.

When clicking on Assign Trainer you will be taken to a new screen where you can search for an appropriate Trainer.

                    Trainers have the following stats;

Gameplan - how well the trainer can prepare the required game plan for an opponent. If this is not enforced by the trainer (and absorbed by the fighter) then the fighter will just fight their normal preferred style without any consideration for the style and stance of the opponent.

Motivation - how good the trainer is at getting your fighter motivated during a fight. A high motivation level means your trainer may be able to inspire your fighter to a second wind when he is starting to tire.

Fighter Preparation - how good the trainer is at getting the fighter ready for the fight. Important to make sure the fighter is on weight come fight night.

Offensive Cornering - this is the trainers ability to provide offensive advice to your fighter during the fight. e.g. if your fighter is not landing very well, the trainer my advise how to improve the accuracy of his work

Defensive Cornering - this is the trainers ability to provide defensive advice during the fight. This could help the fighter cope better with his opponents offense.

Strengths - some trainers have specialities in certain attributes, and are more likely to raise the fighters abilities in these areas.

Trainer Class - your fighter will attract trainers of a certain class depending on his standing. A hot prospect fresh from the Olympics or an established world level fighter will attract the top trainers who have three strengths, whereas the unknown novice / low level fighter will attract trainers who may have reasonable stats but do not have any specialities.

On assigning a trainer, your fighter will let it be known if he gets on with him or not. A fighter who gets on really well with the trainer is more likely to improve under his supervision. A fighter who cant stand his trainer is less likely. Either way, a trainer must be retained for at least 3 months.

Just in case no one is aware, if your boxer fights an opponent with more than 200 class difference - you will be penalised via losing reputation points. However, this feature is disabled until your boxer is 8 fights deep.

I'm going to be hosting a big card in Russia soon, I have a heavyweight who's open to fight another promoter's heavyweight. Anyone willing to take me up on the offer?
