Regardless of the fact that Salido may win this fight, I don't think that Martinez really deserves a shot for a title. The guy was out for more than a year after Mikey Garcia stopped him and just because he won against an unknown and unranked fighter named Hebert Quartey (with a very poor record), the corrupt Vacarcel (WBO) put him in line for a championship. Martinez was a pseudo champion before since he previously won a vacant title with a controversial split decision before Miguel Beltran (Martinez was sixth in the WBO ranking at that time), got into another controversial decision, a draw which was a gift, against Burgos, and then another controversial split decision against Magdaleno in Macao. I don't remember any other "champion" having 3 controversial decisions in a row. And now he and Varcarcel want to make the fight in P. Rico so if there is a decision it would be another gift for the local.
