    BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec, Canada - In the first face-off between the triple light heavyweight champion and the former holder of several belts in the same weight division, there was nothing but respect all around at a press conference that was held Monday to officially kick off the unified Light Heavyweight World Championship fight that will take place between Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (26-0-1, 23 KO) and Jean Pascal (29-2-1, 17 KO). The bout is to be televised on HBO on March 14, 2015 at the Bell Center.

    Even though he holds the unified WBO, WBA and IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion title belts, Kovalev praised Pascal highly at Monday's press conference. "He's the best possible opponent I could face in the weight division," said Kovalev, who was named Sports Illustrated's 2014 Fighter of the Year Monday.

          really looking forward to this fight. Should be exciting since kovalev is all action and pascal is a dangerous guy that can explode on you with hard punches.

          This is a much tougher and more dangerous fight for kovalev than hopkins was. I think kovalev wins but I wouldn't be surprised if pascal knocks kovalev down maybe even KO him with a hail mary shot.

              Pascal doesn't stand in front of you and has that hit and run style. I think that is a big plus in this match up because you don't want to absorb too many shots from Kovalev as it takes toll later in the rounds, so best to collect rounds, win an ugly fight and look better later, except Pascal does that in every fight.

                Pascal is one of the technically better boxers at light heavyweight, he's just missing that X Factor that would make him the man to beat. I think he lacks the power to give the top guys problems. He'll probably win the first few rounds of this fight then get hit with something big and move too much for the rest of the fight to convincingly win rounds. Can't see him getting ko'd as he'll be hard for Kovalev to find.

                    Kovalev has another great fight coming up, against tougher opposition than old Hopkins.

                    Biggest test so far is up next. Interesting fight.
