[QUOTE=BIGPOPPAPUMP;15210949]Top Rank CEO Bob Arum does not agree with Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s insistence on fighting on Cinco De Mayo weekend, May 2nd. Currently there is a tug of war for the date between Mayweather and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

One question, where is Manny? He had a lot to say before but now that 'Daddy' is saying this date is disrepectful where is that lil guy with the big mouth now. Rob Arum did you put lil Manny in time out or did he put a gag order on Team Manny? Where is Roach, he liked to talk what happened?

Lmao so that makes Shane Mexican American? That was also one of mannys worst ppvs Mexicans don't care about Shane. Manny also fought Hatton cinco de mayo weekend.

That's the excuse he's going with, seriously?

          Get out the way Bob!

Is Bob Arum hurting or helping the chances of the Pac vs Money fight with all these comments? His issues with Mayweather are well known but at the end of the day, the fans just want to see the fight. Bob needs to be on his best behavior right now so Mayweather doesn't use him as an excuse for why the fight is not happening again.

if we let floyd keep fighting in may and september, we might have to move our holidays so we're not associated with that clown. the weight draining mexican prospects, coming in overweight vs mexican legend, cheapshoting a mex-american, OUTLAWING MEXICAN GLOVES. **** THIS CLOWN. VIVA ARUM
Don't know why mexicans would consider May a holiday. Last time I checked they lost that war.

Exactly. If Arum wants Mayweather off that date he should be willing to give Mayweather a bigger cut

Mannys only allowed to speak when Arum allows .. a docile neutered lap dog .. he can easily put his foot down and tell Bob to cut the **** .. is he really gonna let the big fight slip away not to hurt Canelos feelings lmaoo .. Pacquiao is a chump. and yes I think he has a gag order while his pimp is talking.

Come on people, anyone who knows anything about business knows what Bob Arum is doing. He is not trying to prevent the Pacquiao Mayweather fight. He is trying to make the most money he can. Having canelo cotto fight on The Mexican holiday in May would raise the ppv buys vs any other date, a fight in which Arum is co promoting, meaning more money or Arum if that fight happens on that date. Pac vs May can happen on any date and it will get as many buys as if it were on may 2nd. Hes trying to make the most money he can because he is a business man, albeit a greedy one. Do it in June and you may even get more pay per view buys because of an extra month of promotion and buildup.

If Mayweather will not negotiate any other date and will walk away from the pacquiao fight and fight someone else on May 2nd, you can bet your bottom dollar Arum will agree to that date. That would take buys away from Canelo Cotto, would still beat Floyds PPV vs Khan but would lose a few hundred thousand buys probably to Floyds fight.

As a business owner I understand completely with Arums reasoning. But we all know Floyd wont budge so they will have to fight Mayweather May 2nd and Move Canelo Cotto to a different date.

The Cinco de Mayo weekend is the perfect weekend for Floyd vs. Pac. It's foolish not to have the biggest fight in Boxing on the biggest weekend for Boxing in the US. Should there be a rematch, that should be in Sept on the 2nd biggest weekend for boxing in the US because a rematch would be the 2nd biggest fight behind May vs. Pac 1.
