Have to agree to an extent but I never really took it seriously when Ali said he was the "greatest of all time", a lot of fans of the sport are held down by their grasp of the years of the past by them simply not wanting to let go.

We have so many other sports and they allow comparisons -
Tennis, John Mcenroe and Roger Federer
Football, Diego Maradonna and Lionel Messi
Basketball, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant
These sports all have these comparisons and you know one thing, none of the fans as badly as ours with boxing shoot people down for comparing people.
