He won't get discouraged by mayweather's potshots.

Pac just has to be himself. I'm telling you pac's style is all wrong for mayweather and they know it or else they would have fought pac a long time ago.
Pac's style is all wrong for a relatively strong, long-time welter with a solid beard and the world's best defense? A 17-year champ with an extremely high boxing IQ? A rangy boxer who is adept at any distance? An accurate counter-puncher with a bevy of styles and respectable power? My friend, I think you've got it reversed. I really do wish the fight happens. Posts like the OP's are well-thought out but the conclusions are largely wishful thinking that forgets one fighter's strengths and the other's flaws. And like those posts, the idea that Manny is all wrong for Floyd (when it's vice versa) does the same.

They're both tough matchups for each other. This much should be clear. That's why they need to get in the ring and get it on.

Yea in other words Manny is the epitome of the White Hope. Look at the two guys careers for what they are and weigh in their advantages/disadvantages. Manny is the obvious underdog. But I'll tell you what, if I was a bettin man I'd say Floyd runs all night and wins a narrow UD realistically. Idk if Floyd has the same reflexes that he did 3 or 4 years ago, so I don't see his pull counter working that well on Manny's sharp straight left.

Mayweather rarely uses the pull counter against southpaws, and against Pacquiao he won't need it. Just pepper Pacquiao with jabs, force Pacquiao to take the initiative; lunge in and land right hand counters whilst making Manny reset.

The jab is a terrible tool to use against Pacquiao. He counters that stuff easily

No it's not and there are different variations to the jab. Cotto doubles up on his, and he crouches forward which made it easy for Pacquiao to counter. Mayweather keeps his back straighter and throws single jabs. This is why it's very difficult to get near Mayweather when he uses his.

Styles makes fights. Where were those against maidana?? Against textbook boxers like canelo or marquez who prefer to box mayweather will never lose. But against awkward unorthodox boxers mayweather looks ordinary. He's lucky maidana has terrible stamina because he would have lost that 1st fight if chino kept up his work for a little longer.

Did you read malignaggi's input? Cause that's basically what I'm saying. Mayweather's instinct as a defensive fighter could be his downfall against pac. He would have to fight pac off him cause when you let pac get off first he will leave you there because of his fast feet.

Algieri has a good jab as well with length and decent speed and he couldn't get it going because of pac's counters. It really is not a good idea to throw jabs at pac.
