Manny hasn't been the same blood and guts warrior since Margarito

He used to be a true killer in the ring. Every fight he was in was a dogfight.

Something in the margarito fight took the dog out of him. It's like Margarito took him to a point where he couldn't cross and it scarred him. Ever since then as soon as he takes control of a fight, he takes his foot off the pedal, like he's scared to hurt the other guy.

Chris algieri in his ******ity said that Pacquiao showing compassion to his opponents is a myth. He somehow thought he survived that fight because of his skill or something, and not because Pacquiao took it easy once the fight was in the bag. That tells me he doesn't know the type of fighter Pacquiao used to be.

The old Pacquiao would have made him wish he never stepped into the ring.

    Maybe I need to rewatch.

I just remember him beatin' the brakes off Tony

I like this new Pacquiao. He's calculated in his attack, but can turn it on also.

I believe it was his toughest fight to date. Pac's more methodical in his approach now, when to turn it on and when to turn it off.

He's getting older now, which means he has to fight in patches. It's going to be more difficult for him to KO some through accumulation because he can't be relentless any more.

That being said, he could have taken Algeiri out if he kicked up a gear but I can understand why he didn't. It's pretty easy for boxing fans to scream ''Go for the KO,'' but Pacquiao would have seen that the guy wasn't fit to lace his boots. To that end, I can understand why he'd feel cruel trying to beat him unconscious.

Meanwhile Margarito has been a beast and has been steamrolling everybody.

I always said that fight took a lot out of pac. You looked at them in the ring and they looked like they were 3 divisions apart minimum. It was a ridiculous size disparity you rarely see in boxing except in the HW division.

And margarito's style is already punishing for anybody his own size because of his relentless pressure, chin and stamina what more to a much smaller man. It sucks that pac really don't get credit for that win but man that was very gutsy of him to fight a man much larger.

Margs, even in defeat, takes something out of you. PAC, Cotto, Clottey, Williams all changed a little after facing him. He really makes you work for it
