Even going back to the Bradley fight, since then Abregu had gone 7-0 with six stoppage wins (with decent names of Dulorme and Decarie on his ledger).
You match Pacquiao and Abregu (WBC #2 challenger), and you have a situation where the winner is likely to be established as mandator challenger to Mayweather Jr, giving Top Rank actual grounds to throw Mayweather's name into their promotional effort.
The fight would be what it is, but you can't honestly say that Pacquiao-Algieri is a much better fight than Pacquiao-Abregu could've been, even in Macau.

Dude your in every Pacquiao Floyd thread and what's this BS? Hahaha! Classic!

Funny that you Floyd fans are crying because Manny wants to go down to 140 to try it out but now saying that he is not a WW. Wow, just wow! Yes, Manny is a small WW but if you can do what he did at that weight, it means more than what you are saying. Manny did more than Khan, Ortiz, Guerrero, Thurman, Brooks, .... combined. Some still have their careers in front of them but I'm bringing up their current status .......... BUT you are downplaying Manny which is just crazy!!!
Furthermore, you say that Marquez doesn't count either but again, you guys are giving Floyd credit for beating a Marquez that jumped 3 divisions.
Stay consistent bud.Last edited by KnickTillDeaTh; 11-20-2014, 12:48 AM.

I didnt say anything about Mayweather you did, Is he on your mind that much? because he sure isnt on mine. Facts are facts son. Bradley has not Fought a welterweight other then Pac, Pac has not fought A legit welter weight contender since Cotto, you cant spin that. And as I said in previous post Bradley is a good win for Pac but its not a good welterweight win. Cant deal with it? I never said Pac doesnt deserve credit for the win and I also never said that Mayweather beating Marquez is a good welterweight win. Keep up, and stop acting like everyone is picking on Pac.
His walk around weight when not training goes to 170. Bradley when side by side looks like a huge body builder compared to pac.
In their previous fight. It is vividlyclear who is the bigger man in there. FACT.

Rios: Actually, Manny called out the top 3 WW and they all said no. So Manny settled with Rios. Still, that was Manny's comeback fight after he got KOed. Why you even bringing that up is just crazy!
The only one comparable is Algieri and I agree. I have already said that I'm not thrilled about the fight. It's a no win situation for Manny.
While I'm not happy, at least he called out the top 3 fighters last year. None said OK to fighting him. This year he did the same and only one of 3 agreed to fight him and Manny did. So at least Manny fought the guy that was considered the #2 guy at WW and beat him. Floyd on the other hand went cherry picking between Khan and Maidana. Maidana won out due to Floyd's formula. Maidana beat a hyped up Broner who was not ready for WW.

Also Bradley didnt even fight anybody at welterweight to get the Pac fight, and even after, Bradley still hasnt fought a real welterweight.Originally posted by KnickTillDeaTh View PostBradley fought Abregu at 147 then went back down. You said that Bradley never fought at WW before Manny. So I just presented you with facts that countered that statement. Abregu fight happened at WW. Yes?
You then said that Bradley vs Manny and Marquez at WW don't count? You almost made me spill my drink!
Bradley fought Manny 2X at WW yes? He fought the guy that beat Manny at WW. Yes?
Bradley has said it himself that he is the bigger man compared to Manny. His walking around weight is much higher than Manny.
Bradley has fought at 147 and even 154 in the amateurs. So none of that was new to him.
Andre Ward. You know him? He said that Bradley was his toughest opponent back then. Bradley is a very determined fighter that brings it every fight.
Finally, Bradley was the #2 man at WW and was ranked #3 P4P before Manny beat him.
Manny has been ranked as top 10 WW for over 262 weeks. That is more than Floyd by 100 weeks. BUT for you, that doesn't count? If you check, I'm sure for the majority of those weeks, Manny was top 1, 2 or 3.
Guess who is currently number 2 and 3? Bradley and Marquez!
