Comments Thread For: Kovalev’s Manager Shoots Down Golovkin Fight

The questions about a Sergey Kovalev-Gennady Golovkin bout immediately after Kovalev topped Bernard Hopkins were one thing. But when more questions came days later, Kovalev’s manager shot down as absurd the idea of such a fight right now.

You have a guy who is supposedly number 2 pound for pound who has cleaned out the 168 pound division... wouldn't he be the ideal opponent, especially since both fighters fight on HBO?

The only thing more annoying than listening to these two ass clowns' d1ckriders gush over how awesome they are, inspite of their laughable resumes. Is listening to their respective camps constantly bumping d1ckheads in the media

Golovkin is at 160, not 168. He would jump 15 lbs. to face Kovalev. It would be a no win situation for Kovalev at this point. If he handles Golovkin easily, he gets no points for beating a much smaller fighter. Golovkin has to address the challenge Andre Ward has laid out at 168. Not only has Ward challenged him but that fight makes sense and is a very real threat for Golovkin.

The jr/super divisions haven't been around that long. Middleweights used to fight light heavyweights all the time. As for this potential head-2-head, if GGG can handle Kovalev's power, he beats him quite easily. Probably stops him.

Oh there he is, still not giving Kovalev any credit for outboxing Hopkins?

Didn't you pick Hopkins hitking? I suppose you'd pick Mayweather over Golovkin too and then give no credit to GGG when he lost.

That guy is the worst. His pattern is clear as day for picking fighters

Beating 50yr olds just isn't orgasim worthy for some of us.

I think I've said at least 100x that GGG beats Floyd. I would credit him for being the first to beat Floyd. But I wouldn't be sticking a ***** in my ********, proclaiming it the greatest performance in boxing history like you would.
