Vadim Kornilov, manager of Ruslan Provodnikov, has advised krikya360.com that the former WBO junior welterweight champion and his team will leave for Russia on November 15th. Provodnikov faces former champion Jose Luis Castillo on November 28th.

Provodnikov has faced criticism for facing Castillo but Kornilov insists that Provodnikov is taking the faded veteran seriously. Provodnikov's team had unsuccessfully tried to secure fights against Mauricio Herrera, Zab Judah, and others before settling on Castillo.
