It's not hyptothetical because Kovalev already has an "unofficial" win over him. Ward ducked him and said he would move to 175 before and when Kovalev burst onto the scene he said he has nothing to gain from moving up (lol)

Kovalev beats Ward. Easy work. Dude got dropped by Darnell Boone.... Kovalev would spark him out in 3 rounds, maybe less. Only Kovalev and Golovkin beat Ward, though. Ward beats anyone else 175lb or lower (including Hop and Adonis)

Ward made a career beating non-athletic, slow, flat-flooted, plodding brawlers such as Carl Froch, Sakio Bika and Arthur Abraham. None of those guys have any skills besides a good chin, toughness and stamina. Kovalev is in a different stratosphere skill wise compared to the "top fighters" Ward has fought that gave him his magical P4P status.

So did Kovalev in the first fight and arguably got a gift decision.

But Andre Ward has no power so it doesn't matter. Kovalev does.

Also there is no video of this supposed "gift decision" in Kovalev-Boone I.... just internet people making things up. There is video however of Kovalev destroying him in the second fight.

What does their power have to do with anything?

Kovalev himself has said he felt fortunate to get the decision that is why they fought a rematch so he could put things right. I don't think the first fight was televised.

Didn't Boone drop kova twice and according to Boone, he should have been credited with a third knockdown.

Why do people want Ward to move out of his division vs fighters coming to him? Ward is the best P4P fighter from 160 - 175. If these fighters want to prove themselves then they need to go to him. Ward has already proven himself in the ring.
As much as I dislike Arum, if Ward was under TRP he would be a household name. I say that because even though Arum is as crooked as they come, he knows how to create star power and build a fan base for his fighters.

What do you mean what does it have to do with anything? It has to do with everything. The point I was making is Ward's chin couldn't even hold up to Darnell Boone's punch..... imagine it against Kovalev's devastating punches. Kovalev got dropped by Boone but Ward doesn't punch hard at all, hell, Boone is probably the bigger puncher anyway.
