Comments Thread For: Roy Jones Jr: Five Wins After They Said I Should Quit!

Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (59-8, 42KOs), soon to be 46-years-old, is not planning to retire any time soon.

Jones suffered three consecutive defeats from 2009 to 2011, with two of them by knockout. The third loss of the three, was a brutal KO at the hands of dangerous cruiserweight Denis Lebedev. The press, fans and people close to the boxer were pleading with him to retire. Jones continued, winning five in a row.

"You have to take what you can get until you get what you want" - Roy Jones, Jr.

Dats right b#tches, y'all musta forgot!

....Loved watching Jones ply his craft back in the day. And even though some scribes labeled him a duck, he was entertaining.....to me at least.

Can't blame him if he can get paid what he does in Russia fighting nobodies. I just fear he will end up getting a title shot against one of the top cruisers who will really do a job on him.

Fighting stiffs in Siberia is a good business as long as there is a public for that...

One of these days he's gonna run out of fry cooks and dog catchers to fight.

Keep fighting Roid, we love watching you get punished for ducking Steve Collins, Nigel Benn, Gerald McLellan, Dariusz Michaelczewski and the entire Cruiserweight Division. I just hope that when you finally get put down for real it's in a country where they have decent brain surgeons on deck.

What's funny is that a completely shot, utterly faded Roy Jones can beat contenders and give world titlists 40 lbs above his natural weight fits, like Lebedev, who he was actually beating on one card when he got knocked out with 5 seconds to go in the fight.

That's testimony to just how special he was at his best.

                    War Roy, War!!!!!!!
