Comments Thread For: Provodnikov's Manager: Castillo is a Risky Fight

Based on the recent circumstances, manager Vadim Kornilov indicates that Ruslan Provodnikov's likely opponent will indeed be former champion Jose Luis Castillo. Provodnikov returns on November 28 in Moscow. krikya360.com first reported last week that Castillo (66-12-1, 57 KOs) was under consideration but it now appears the 40-year-old will likely find himself in the ring with "Siberian Rocky."

Kornilov tried to get other opponents but says the boxers priced themselves out.

what the hell.... didn't Castillo quit in his last fight because he was shot to ****....

    ... like 5 years ago?

Edit: Apprently not, he's still been fighting lol. Wow. I thought he retired when he quit in that fight in Cowboy Stadium on the Pac undercard.

Current injured version of Kell Brook is more of a threat.

The risk is Provo might break his hands because Castillo is going to be so easy for him to hit in the face. Very risky fight!!!!

It's a risky fight in terms of risking castillo's health... He is a punching bag being fed to a big puncher
